Are you passionate about reforming UK connections? This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and influence connections reform within the energy sector.
As a key leader, you will develop and execute a strategy that positions National Grid Energy Distribution (NGED) as a sector leader in connections provision.
You will serve as NGED’s primary senior representative for all aspects of reform, establishing yourself as an influential professional in this space. Ideal candidates will have experience in connections strategy and policy from a DNO, supplier, consultancy, or developer background.
We seek an established senior leader with strategic vision, team-building skills, and a passion for driving excellence. You will oversee the connections SteerCo, ensuring the executive leadership is informed of reform initiatives and industry developments.
Your team’s goal will be to influence reform and policy to improve the connection queue, enhance customer experience, and identify new market opportunities. You will also focus on stakeholder engagement, developing innovative solutions, and assessing risks and business cases.
You will be the external advocate for connections, building relationships at the highest industry levels, attending industry events, and using your expertise to influence positive change.
