Role Overview:

Seeking a flexible, remote Head of Compliance (SMF16) to lead compliance for a next-generation pension technology platform backed by a leading FinTech VC. The role involves helping build the business, ensuring regulatory robustness, and acting as the primary FCA contact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the firm's first Compliance hire, assisting with FCA application and authorization.
  • Work with developers to ensure systems and processes are compliant before going live.
  • Serve as SMF16, maintaining ongoing FCA compliance and managing regulatory interactions.
  • Design, implement, and monitor compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures, especially in pensions and CASS.
  • Provide regulatory guidance across business units, including new products, operations, and marketing.
  • Advise the Board on regulatory developments and impacts on strategy.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experienced Compliance leader with deep pensions knowledge (personal pensions, SIPPs, etc.).
  • Strong FCA engagement track record; CASS experience is advantageous.
  • Confident in challenging leadership and a direct communicator.
