Job description

Head of Compliance, remote 12 months maternity cover, part-time

QSix, a leading alternative asset manager specialising in real estate & real estate debt, is recruiting for a 12-month, part-time maternity cover position of Head of Compliance.

This role is suitable for someone available to start by 14th July to ensure a proper handover. The position is primarily remote, with possible travel to our London or Farnham offices, with expenses reimbursed. It is a part-time role, working 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, numerate, literate, and diligent, with experience in FCA-regulated environments and a hands-on approach, working closely with a small team. You will report to one of the partners.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and ensure timely submission of regulatory returns via FCA website and Connect.
  • Oversee financial and compliance submissions with the accounts and operations teams.
  • Review and update compliance registers, risk registers, and ICARA.
  • Manage AML procedures, market abuse frameworks, KYC processes, and GDPR compliance.
  • Prepare board reports including MLRO annual report, quarterly compliance, risk, and governance reports.
  • Handle complaints, staff training, marketing material reviews, contract reviews, and special projects such as regulatory capital restructuring.
Candidate Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and previous experience in FCA-regulated firms.
  • Proficiency with compliance systems and software.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, discretion, and adaptability.

Position Details
  • Start by 14th July.
  • Duration: 12-13 months, maternity cover.

  • Remote with occasional travel to London/Farnham, expenses reimbursed.
  • Salary: £100,000 gross for 3 days/week.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
