As we scale, we’re hiring a Head of Compliance & Quality who becomes the guardian of our ethos, pedagogy, and standards across all sites.
Responsibilities
1. Curriculum, Pedagogy & Educational Quality
- Oversee and refine Maryam’s bespoke teaching method (tree-of-life model) across branches
- Ensure consistency in curriculum delivery: alignment of plans, play-based experiences, thematic learning, sensory engagement
- Monitor implementation, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective actions
2. Staff Induction, Training, Practice Improvement
- Devise induction programmes for new teachers aligned with Maryam’s ethos
- Regular classroom observations, walkthroughs, feedback cycles, action plans, follow-up
3. Embedding Maryam’s Ethos & Values
- Be a visible champion of the “family, village, tree of life” philosophy
- Translate values into daily norms, rituals, staff behaviours, and parent communications
- Partner with leadership & HR to make sure recruitment, performance reviews, and reward systems reflect Maryam’s identity
4. Parent & Stakeholder Quality Assurance
- Manage feedback loops, parent surveys, quality reporting that align with Maryam’s brand
- Address concerns or complaints about educational quality; ensure transparency and trust
5. Audits, Compliance & Assurance
- Implement quality audits for each branch (pedagogy, policy adherence, record-keeping)
- Ensure regulatory compliance (Ofsted / local early years frameworks, safeguarding standards)
- Produce audit reports, action plans, and monitor remediation
6. Children’s Development & SEN / Inclusion
- Oversee assessment and tracking of child progress; ensure robust systems are in place
- Identify children needing extra support; coordinate with SEN / inclusion leads
- Coach teachers on differentiation, scaffolding, inclusive strategies
7. Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Define and monitor KPIs (curriculum coverage, observation quality, staff training uptake, parent satisfaction, inclusion outcomes).
- Regular quality reviews to senior leadership
- Lead pilot initiatives, research, benchmarking, and innovation in early years practices
Essential Qualifications / Experience
- EYT (Early Years Teacher) credential
- Degree in Early Childhood, Education, Child Development, or related
- Experience across multiple branches / multi-site makeup
- Past exposure to inspections, accreditation or external audit
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an early years / nursery / educational setting
