Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd is partnering with a growing specialist insurance brokerage to recruit a Senior Compliance & Operations professional. You’ll own the compliance and operational framework as the business scales, working closely with founders and the leadership team to shape policy, governance and regulatory controls.

This hands-on, entrepreneurial role offers flexibility: fully remote with occasional travel into London, and a structure that can suit both part-time and full-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in an insurance broker, MGA or similar regulated environment is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of FCA regulatory framework, SMCR, AML/KYC, sanctions, governance and regulatory reporting.
• Improve processes, build scalable infrastructure, and explore tech/AI enabled ways of working.
• Oversee insurer agreements, client money (CASS), policy administration and third-party relationships.
• Collaborate with the Board and leadership on governance, risk management and ongoing development.

Senior Compliance & Operations Opportunity | Specialist Insurance Brokerage

IDEX Consulting are partnered with a growing specialist insurance brokerage that advises private equity firms and corporate clients on transactional risk insurance.

The business has experienced significant growth in recent years and is now looking for a Senior Compliance & Operations professional to play a key role in its next stage of development.

This is a great opportunity to join a small, entrepreneurial team where you'll have real ownership and influence. Previously supported by a contractor, the business is looking for someone to become the key point of contact for compliance and operations, working closely with the founders and senior leadership team to build and develop these functions as the business scales.

The role will combine:

• Compliance & Regulation: Oversight of the FCA regulatory framework, SMCR, AML/KYC, sanctions, governance and regulatory reporting.


• Operational Development: Improving processes, building scalable infrastructure and identifying innovative ways of working, including the use of technology and AI.


• Insurance Operations: Overseeing insurer agreements, client money (CASS), policy administration and third-party relationships.


• Governance & Leadership Support: Working closely with the Board and leadership team on governance, risk management and the ongoing development of the business.
