Job Description:

This world-wide leading technology company with operations in countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, and several other European countries is seeking a Head of Compliance, Europe. The role involves leading the corporate compliance program across Europe, maintaining, enhancing, and implementing compliance policies, conducting investigations, managing third-party due diligence, and collaborating with business leaders to promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance.

Main areas of compliance include anti-bribery/corruption, antitrust, and export controls. The role reports to the Head of International Compliance and involves collaboration with compliance professionals globally and with other stakeholders to advise on compliance risk management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sharpening compliance strategy and fostering a proactive compliance culture, including risk mitigation,
  • Enhancing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and training,
  • Strengthening third-party management systems related to supply chain vendors and service partners, including due diligence and monitoring,
  • Managing compliance issues and investigations,
  • Advising business leaders on risk management strategies,
  • Providing compliance expertise on existing and new services and legal implications,
  • Maintaining and developing compliance and ethics programs for employees and partners,
  • Engaging with government, industry, and peer groups on compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • UK qualified lawyer with at least 7+ years PQE, with experience in compliance, litigation, and investigations.
  • Experience in the technology sector.
  • Experience in compliance investigations, data protection, and related areas, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in at least two of the company’s focus areas, familiarity with relevant laws such as the UK Bribery Act and FCPA.
  • Experience advising senior management and influencing enterprise-wide change.
