Job summary

Mphasis UK Ltd is seeking a Head of Compliance, Compliance Oversight & Money Laundering Reporting Officer to provide independent oversight of the regulatory compliance framework and to lead AML/CTF arrangements. The role covers SMF16 and SMF17 responsibilities, with FCA approvals required.

Key duties include designing a risk-based monitoring programme, reporting to the Board, and embedding Consumer Duty across the business. Strong FCA knowledge and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant FCA-regulated financial services experience.
• Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook (CONC, SYSC, DISP, Consumer Duty, SM&CR).
• Experience developing, implementing or monitoring compliance frameworks and controls.
• Experience in AML/CTF, sanctions and financial crime requirements.
• Degree or equivalent professional experience; compliance qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of regulatory compliance and financial crime.
• Act as SMF16 (Compliance Oversight) and SMF17 (MLRO) subject to FCA approval.
• Develop and maintain a risk-based compliance framework and monitoring programme.
• Oversee customer due diligence, suspicious activity reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Report regulatory risks and outcomes to the Board; advise on changes.
