Overview

Head of Community Safety and Engagement – Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service
37 Hours Per Week (Monday – Friday)

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of fire prevention initiatives as well as education and youth and community engagement activities.
  • Provide direction and innovation to design and deliver activities which seek to improve engagement with communities, their understanding of us and to support workforce diversity.
  • Close working with other service delivery departments to ensure community safety and engagement activities are high quality and aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Provide direction and leadership to a diverse team of specialists; designing and evaluating services based on data, evidence and evaluation of activities, to ensure that the team are reaching our target audiences, and are seeking continuous improvement from the activities they undertake.

Selection Process

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Police Vetting check. Applicants must have been a resident in the UK for the last 3 years to be eligible for a Police Vetting check. Candidates who have been successful at the initial shortlisting stage will be asked to produce a report (title to be confirmed) and take part in a stakeholder panel and, if successful at that stage, a final interview process.
