About the team

Our marketing team plays a vital role in promoting OSB and all our services. This in turn helps us work towards our vision to become our customers' favourite bank; one that delivers its very best, challenges convention and opens doors that others can't.

The Savings Marketing Team has a clear purpose to create and deliver excellent Direct-to-Customer marketing campaigns and communications for the Group’s savings brands that help engage and retain customers. The team are also responsible for developing and delivering compelling content relating to our products, propositions and customer needs.

What you will be doing?

As the new Head of Communications - Savings, you will be responsible for the effective development and delivery of marketing communications strategy for the Group’s Savings brands’ with regular exposure to all levels within the company.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that the savings communications strategy is developed and brought to life, engaging with all stakeholders including customers and third parties.
  • Developing the case for required budget to meet approval requirements and ensure that activities are evaluated post initiative against the business case to build learnings back into the marketing plan and deliver continual optimisation of activity.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of customer communications for both business and regulatory change.
  • Establishing relationships with teams across the group to ensure that plans are relevant and match the needs of our target customer segments.
  • Working with stakeholders to develop key messages across all audiences, in support of both the customer and business strategies.
  • Embedding customer insight at the heart of all communications initiatives, ensuring customer need is central to communications delivered.
  • Supporting the business’s overall brand image through positive, focused and measured communications.
  • Ensuring effective deployment of all offline and online marketing capabilities in order to secure target results at lowest possible cost.

  • Previous marketing/communications experience within the Financial Services industry is essential
  • Detailed knowledge of the techniques required to plan and deliver robust communications programmes is essential
  • Specialist knowledge of the regulatory requirements relating to TCF, marketing and communications is essential
  • Excellent, interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead influence, challenge and inspire are essential
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously are essential
