Balfour Beatty seeks a Head of Commercial Services for their Power Transmission and Distribution business in Motherwell. The role involves overseeing commercial governance, contract compliance, and leading a team in a hybrid working environment. About the role
Balfour Beatty has a fantastic opportunity for a highly competent Head of Commercial Services to join their rapidly expanding Power Transmission and Distribution business. The role will be based from our office in Motherwell with hybrid working options.
The role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the business's commercial expectations and governance procedures both internally and throughout the wider supply-chain as well as incorporate commercial audit, training and upskilling. The individual will also be responsible for the correct administration of the main contract ensuring compliance and consistency across the wider team and also lead the team responsible for change control, working closing with project controls.
The individual will be an experienced professional, who has previously worked on operational project delivery, and contract negotiations, including the development of internal joint ventures and assembly of specialist supply chain partners in complex and high value construction, building services and infrastructure projects.
They would need to demonstrate a high-level understanding of NEC forms of contract and have demonstrable experience in contract drafting, negotiation and execution of related commercial aspects.
The business is seeking someone who self-motivated, organised and has an ability to
operate independently as well as part of a project team; often working to tight deadlines.
