We seek a highly competent professional responsible for ensuring compliance with our commercial expectations and governance procedures within the business and throughout the supply chain.

This role also involves managing contract administration, ensuring compliance and consistency, leading change control efforts, and overseeing commercial audits, training, and upskilling. The ideal candidate will have experience in operational project delivery, contract negotiations, and developing joint ventures in complex, high-value projects.

They should demonstrate a high-level understanding of NEC contracts, with experience in drafting, negotiating, and executing commercial agreements. We are looking for someone self-motivated, organized, capable of working independently and within a team, often under tight deadlines.

What you'll be doing

• Prioritizing business opportunities and overseeing contract review and advice
• Representing commercial interests and liaising with JV partners
• Managing dispute resolution proactively
• Implementing lessons learned from previous projects into negotiations
• Ensuring proper execution of contracts and adherence to authority levels
• Supporting legal and legislative compliance
• Managing contract documents, change processes, and risk reporting
• Reporting on commercial aspects to senior management and ensuring governance adherence

Who we're looking for

• An experienced professional with significant industry experience, ideally Chartered (RICS, ICES, CIOB), with a track record in managing and developing commercial teams
• Proven skills in commercial awareness, client liaison, project management, and negotiation, with extensive knowledge of the construction/infrastructure industry
• Qualifications such as BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
• Deep expertise in negotiation of FEED, alliance, joint venture, and complex contracts, especially NEC
