The Role

Do you thrive on performance management through people? Do you enjoy coaching teams, challenging assumptions, and turning data into insight? Do you want to be the internal commercial face of Finance, driving results across multiple departments?

This is a role for a natural connector, coach, and influencer, someone who is commercially minded, people-focused, and thrives on creating clarity from complexity.

As a senior leader within the Finance Team, you will have the following key responsibilities.

  • Management Accounting: Oversee the preparation and review of hotel P&Ls; ensure timely, accurate reporting.
  • Performance Management: Lead monthly P&L reviews with Area Managers and Hotel Managers, turning insights into actions.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Own the process, advise on which budgets/forecasts should be used for comparisons, and ensure alignment with group reporting.
  • KPI Leadership: Design, prepare, and communicate ZPIs and KPIs for all levels of the business.
  • Business Partnering: Build strong relationships across Operations, HR, Marketing, and Commercial to align financial and operational strategies.
  • Team Development: Manage and coach three team members, building capability in management accounting and performance insight.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Represent Finance in meetings with owners (e.g. Portman, Scion) and ensure performance updates are clear, concise, and actionable.

The Person

We're looking for a commercially astute finance leader with:

  • A recognised qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Proven experience in multi-site hospitality, retail, or a fast-paced service sector.
  • Strong management accounting and performance analysis expertise.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills - able to engage both finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • A coaching mindset with the ability to build capability in others.
  • Curiosity, resilience, and commercial awareness.
  • A fun-loving personality

Perks

  • Hybrid working (on-site with 1 day WFH for reporting/analysis).
  • Complimentary guest stay and discounted hotel rates.
  • Discounts at Z Cafés
  • Company pension scheme, sick pay, and life assurance.
  • 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) + additional days after 5 years.
  • Extra day off for Birthdays
  • Training & development support
  • Employee awards, recognition schemes, and social events.
  • Supportive and people-focused culture.
  • High Street discounts
