JSS in Hertfordshire is seeking a Head of Commercial Finance to lead the UK finance function, partnering with senior management to steer strategy and performance.

You will manage a team of finance business partners, shape commercial planning, and drive efficiency across multi-site operations in Retail, FMCG or supply chain.

Qualifications

• Several years experience senior Commercial Manager roles in a large fast paced organisation.
• Experience managing a team of finance business partners
• Aiding and supporting commercial and strategic decision making
• Essential: Multi-site Retail, FMCG or Supply Chain/ Distribution, Manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and support on all aspects of the commercial financial management of the UK business.
• Lead, inspire and develop a team of finance business partners who are based across the UK
• Take the financial and commercial lead in running and managing several key areas of the business
• Create innovative financial strategies, which drive improved business efficiencies across the business.
• Be responsible for regularly interfacing and developing key relationships within key suppliers and clients
• Responsible for strategic planning, the creation of annual operating plans and business performance reviews.
• Provide and effectively communicate critical financial information to members of both the Leadership team.
• Work closely with the Financial Control team to ensure that all statutory and regulatory controls and processes are understood and complied with.
• Development of systems and procedures to strengthen financial control and operational efficiencies across the whole of UK business

Head of Commercial Finance - Hertfordshire

JSS are delighted to be partnering with our client who are based in Hertfordshire on the recruitment of a fantastic new Head of Commercial Finance role.

As a member of the Leadership Team, the Head of Commercial Finance will lead and support on all aspects of the commercial financial management of the UK business. The role will be responsible across the whole business but will have a focus on several specific key area's of the business that deliver the highest revenue and gross margin. including managing the finance business partnering team.

The Role:

The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for:

• Working closely with the senior management team to ensure that the strategic direction for the business is being implemented and driven across the UK business.


• Lead, inspire and develop a team of finance business partners who are based across the UK


• Take the financial and commercial lead in the running and managing several key area's of the business


• Create innovative financial strategies, which drive improved business efficiencies across the business.


• Be responsible for regularly interfacing and developing key relationships within key suppliers and clients


• Responsible for strategic planning, the creation of annual operating plans and business performance reviews.


• Provide and effectively communicate critical financial information to members of both the Leadership team. This will include regular budgeting and forecasting data and analysis as well as higher level strategic information and recommendations.


• Work closely with the Financial Control team to ensure that all statutory and regulatory controls and processes are understood and complied with.


• Development of systems and procedures to strengthen financial control and operational efficiencies across the whole of UK business

Profile:
