Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group LTD is recruiting a Head of Commercial for a Warrington-based division of a national contractor specialising in reactive and planned maintenance for social housing and property services.

You will lead a team of 3-4 senior QS and oversee cost planning, contract setup, and P&L performance across a £50m annual portfolio, with progression opportunities and an attractive salary and package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Commercial Manager or similar senior commercial leadership
• Experience managing a team of senior quantity surveyors
• Experience in P&L, cost planning, and contract commercial management

Responsibilities

• Cost planning
• Closing out and setting up contracts commercially
• Manage a team of 3-4 Senior quantity surveyors and their commercial teams
• Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
• Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
• Attending & Charing progress meetings with clients
• Regular on site
• P&L with operational leads
• Cash flow management

Reactive Maintenance & Planned Maintenance- Social Housing/Property Services

Up to £120,000 Plus Package

Our client, an established and rapidly growing contractor who operate nationally, are looking for an experienced Head Of Commercial to join their property services division.

They currently deliver day to day construction & property services for local authorities and housing associations nationally. Contracts are typically responsive repairs, planned maintenance, retrofit and fire safety projects. Within this role you will be managing a diverse portfolio with a value of £50m per annum.

This role is to join the commercial department for the property services division. My client are ideally looking for someone with 5+ years experience as a Commercial Manager, however they would consider an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.

Day to day responsibilities will include;

• Cost planning
