Head of Commercial

Food & FMCG

  • £70000 - £75000 per annum + benefits

  • Full-time, Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote/road)

Reed Food & FMCG are seeking a dynamic and people-focused Head of Commercial for a fantastic Food business. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver commercial strategy, driving sales and product strategy to achieve outstanding results.

Managing a team of 12 across Sales and Procurement, you'll be an excellent people manager, accustomed to growing and developing high-performing teams, harnessing potential and always looking forwards.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy across sales and procurement
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, focusing on accountability, innovation, and expertise
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with key customers and suppliers, driving solution-based selling and overseeing category and supplier management
  • Utilise market insights and data to shape effective category strategies that optimize product, pricing, and stock performance
  • Identify market trends, risks, and opportunities, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge
