Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Head of Commercial to join our community hub team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's core operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Operations Director to identify and maximise opportunities by working in partnership with the people we support, their families, commissioners, operations, and community hub team members.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Commissioners, Local Authorities, ICBs, and Housing Associations (in partnership with the Housing Manager).
  • Partner with the Heads of Areas and Assessment and Placement Managers to achieve 95%+ occupancy and eliminate long-term voids.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Pricing, Senior Pricing, Data Partner, and Home Managers to ensure Care Needs Assessments are completed accurately and promptly to support fee uplift negotiations.
  • Work with the Head of Pricing and Finance Business Partner to ensure placements are sustainably priced, balancing cost-effectiveness with quality and safety.
  • Operationalise new developments to ensure timely delivery aligned with the Board-approved business case.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and expansion through new developments in partnership with the Head of New Developments.
  • Identify homes requiring repurposing or redesigning and coordinate with relevant teams to transform these homes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in commercial roles, preferably in social care or a related sector.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and expansion.
  • Strong sales and business development experience.
  • Strategic mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain key relationships with clients and stakeholders.
