This is an exciting opportunity to work as Head of Service for Clinical Support Services at a time of transformational change within NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

The Head of Service Delivery role is responsible for the provision of leadership, strategic direction, operational and resource management for the delivery of Clinical Support Services (CSS) to all Health Board owned sites located within the CSS South sector including University Hospital Ayr, Ailsa Hospital, Biggart Hospital and Girvan Community Hospital. This involves planning, organising and adapting the delivery of a broad range of complex activities.

You will have an operational and professional responsibility and be the professional lead for Domestic Services, a mandated role to ensure that the Board meets the domestic element for prevention and control of infections as outlined in the national manual.

Educated to masters degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience, candidates who are interested in developing in this role should have in- depth specialist and professional management knowledge of support services; senior management experience of strategic and operational development acquired over an extended period; senior management experience of strategic and operational development gained within a large complex organization. You should also be able to demonstrate experience in developing budgets and the effective management of budgets and resources.

This is a full-time permanent post.

Location: Hybrid/Ailsa Hospital

Hours: 37 hours per week over 5 days.

A car owner/driving licence is essential
