The Dean Neurological Centre in Gloucester seeks a Head of Clinical Services to provide senior clinical leadership across nursing, allied health, and medical staff. You will drive governance, improve resident outcomes, and support the Service Director in business development and strategic aims.

This 9‑month fixed‑term contract requires NMC registration and a proven track record in clinical governance and team leadership within health care. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).
• At least 2 years’ supervisory experience in a care setting.
• Knowledge of the legislation and standards of the CQC.
• A strong desire for change and innovation with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated sound financial management and administrative skills in a Health Care facility.
• Demonstrated understanding of private and public health sector funding models.
• Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a clinical services team providing strong strategic direction and positive leadership.
• Proven experience of working within a strong clinical governance environment.
• Proven experience working at a management level within the health care industry.
• Proven strategic planning, workforce analysis and policy development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead Continuous Improvement processes in a Health Care facility and achieve sound outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical direction and professional leadership to all clinical staff in line with policy and guidance.
• Lead clinical services to deliver governance, safe resident care, and continual quality improvement.
• Assist Service Director with Business Development and contracting for safe delivery of care.
• Support strategic direction of the facility and build stakeholder links to deliver aims.
• Act as Infection Control lead, ensuring IPC governance and committee representation.
• Review and manage clinical incidents and PSIRF in line with policy and service delivery.
• Chair key meetings and deputise for the Directors as needed.
• Serve as Safeguarding Lead, Complaints Officer, and Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer.
