Job summary

Avonfield Neurological Centre is seeking a Head of Clinical Services to provide clinical management and leadership to the unit team, modelling professional standards and driving a culture of continuous quality improvement.

You will work with NHS or private care backgrounds, joining an established Elysium Healthcare group with a strong focus on governance, patient safety and staff development, offering a comprehensive benefits package and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration is required.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a relevant care setting.
• Knowledge of the legislation and standards of the CQC.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction and strong, professional leadership to all clinical staff including nursing, allied health professionals and medical staff.
• Lead the clinical services to deliver governance, safe and effective patient care and identify and reduce clinical risk.
• Support the Service Director with Business Development/annual contracting, focusing on safe delivery of care.
• Contribute towards successful service risk mitigation/monitoring.
• Deliver the facility clinical strategy and related annual plan.
• Monitor key clinical performance indicators and act on outliers.
• Jointly analyse outcome data to influence improved outcomes through action planning.
