Job summary

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Head of Project Management to lead the full PM lifecycle across the company’s global project portfolio. The role ensures safe, on-schedule, and on-budget delivery, with governance and development of a high-performing PM function to meet current and future demand.

You will drive performance, risk management and client relationships, while aligning with Ocean Infinity’s standards and training programs to sustain high-quality outcomes.

• Deliver live reporting of ongoing project performance and follow up on results.
• Communicate and implement Ocean Infinity’s policies and procedures to employees, visitors, and contractors.

Ocean Infinity operates a global fleet of 14 lean-manned Armada vessels and two conventionally crewed chartered vessels, delivering services across its core business lines, including Survey, ROV, AUV, and light and deep geotechnical operations. Our mission is to transform operations at sea, challenging conventional ways of working and driving high value add operating models.

The Head of Project Management is responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of all commercial projects across Ocean Infinity's business portfolio, excluding Government and Defence contracts. Reporting to the Commercial Service Delivery Director, the role ensures that projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client requirements and Ocean Infinity standards.

The position provides overall leadership and governance for the full project management lifecycle, from project initiation through execution and close-out. The Head of Project Management is responsible for building, developing, and leading a high-performing project management function, ensuring the organization has the capability and capacity required to support Ocean Infinity's current and future project portfolio.

Overall, the Head of Project Management plays a critical role in ensuring Ocean Infinity consistently delivers safe, high-quality, and commercially successful projects for its clients worldwide.

The duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring Ocean Infinity has a world-class project management function across all areas, including personnel, processes, risk evaluation and ultimately, offshore and data delivery.
• Establish a Project plan monitoring strategic objectives for efficiency and development.
• Organise and develop the Project Department in such a way that the strategic objectives are met.
• Deliver Live reporting of ongoing project performance Plan and follow up on project results.
• Ensure all project risks are well understood and managed / mitigated
• Building strong client relationships through exceptional project delivery
• Driving project financial delivery ahead of the as-awarded tender position.
• Plan and follow up on Project objectives.
• Follow up on existing methods and skills so they are implanted in Projects
• Develop new methods, tools and skills.
• Ensure that other Ocean Infinity functions have relevant project information for their responsibility areas.
• Cooperate with other departments to perform projects according to customer requirements and the overall plan for Ocean Infinity.
• Set department and individual objectives and evaluate.
• Support Project Managers to facilitate and enable good performance and execution of the project.
• Ensure a good work environment. As the leader of the Project department, you will be responsible for ensuring the work environment is safe and does not risk the health of the team. You will also take all measures necessary to prevent the personnel from being subject to illness, health, or accidents during work.
• Comply with Ocean Infinity Policies, practices, programs, and procedures as described in the Ocean Infinity management system.
• Complete required training as identified by the Ocean Infinity Training Programme.
• Participates in improving the Ocean Infinity management system by reporting events, attending meetings and workshops, reporting problems, and recommending improvements, as well as other related activities.
• Informs their manager/responsible person of any unidentified risks, hazards, or system deficiencies in the workplace by using Stop Work authority, SOB card reporting, Incident reporting or by reporting directly to relevant personnel.
• Communicates and implements Ocean Infinity’s policies and procedures and their requirements to employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Supports Ocean Infinity’s Health and Safety, Environmental and Social goals.

Salary for this position:

Up to 150,000 GBP per annum
