Job description

We are seeking a Claims Oversight Leader to oversee our Claims Oversight team, focusing on enhancing the performance of our members and elevating the status of Claims within Lloyd's market.

This leadership role requires a proven track record in managing external entities, overseeing end-to-end processes, and ensuring compliance with Lloyd's principles. Candidates may come from Claims, Delegated Authority, Audit, or Operations backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the Claims Oversight Team to ensure Managing Agents provide excellent claims services aligning with Lloyd's expectations and supporting syndicate performance.
  2. Make risk-based decisions to ensure effective oversight and collaboration across teams.
  3. Develop and promote a 'best in class' approach to Claims management.
  4. Monitor MAs' adherence to Lloyd's Claims Principles, proactively addressing potential risks.
  5. Communicate assessment results and foster open dialogue.
  6. Utilize claims data to improve performance.
  7. Ensure quality assurance for claims reviews and thematic work.
  8. Provide timely internal reports on claims oversight activities.
  9. Design and maintain engagement models with senior management, brokers, and market groups.

This role reports to the Claims Director and is part of the claims leadership team, contributing to the strategic and operational oversight of the market.
