Superior Recruitment Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Civil/Structural Engineering to join their large client in Adlington or Sunderland.

The purpose of this role is to be ultimately responsible for the delivery of Civil/Structural engineering scope across projects, studies, and bids. This includes ensuring designs meet the highest standards regarding safety, code compliance, scope, quality, cost, and on-time delivery. You will promote structural efficiency, cost optimisation, and quality of output through resource management and acting as a business subject matter expert. This is a functional role with management and occasional customer-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Wholly accountable for the quality of Civil/Structural engineering output, and on-time delivery in accordance with project requirements.
2. Ensure all Civil/Structural designs are code compliant, meet specifications, are safe in design, and consider lifecycle requirements.
3. Support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Bids with information and guidance.
4. Work closely with other Department Heads in the business to ensure synergy.
5. Promote Civil/Structural/equipment standardisation and re-use.
6. Line management responsibilities across multiple sites; responsible for departmental performance.
