Job summary

Pets at Home is seeking an experienced Head of Category – Accessories & Specialist Pet on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role oversees the category P&L, leads strategy for accessories, and collaborates with Asia Sourcing, Merchandising Planning, Suppliers, Marketing, Visual Merchandising and eCommerce teams.

• Developing and delivering the category strategy across Accessories
• Owning sales, profit and margin performance, identifying opportunities for growth
• Driving innovation, NPD and own-brand development to keep ranges fresh
• Deliver a trade plan that entices customers and delivers sustainably
• Leading supplier relationships and commercial negotiations to meet targets
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to maximise performance across stores and online
• Using customer and market insights to shape future category direction
• Coaching and developing a high-performing Buying and Design team
