Job description

HEAD OF CATEGORY MANAGEMENT

As a pivotal member of the BD team, you will be responsible for driving the division's category management strategy and transformation. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Range Review Process:
  • Lead and formalize the range review process, ensuring alignment between sales, marketing, and category teams.
  • Track KPIs such as SOF and SOD across retailers.
  • Communicate objectives of each range review to ensure team alignment.
  • Collaborate with RGM to integrate tools like Centropy into the process.
  • Beauty Elevation:
    • Act as the primary partner for Total Beauty Elevation projects.
    • Develop a vision for Beauty Elevation and recommend strategies.
    • Evaluate elevation projects based on shopper and P&L KPIs and recommend rollouts.
    • Share best practices with global teams.
  • Customer Centricity:
    • Support translating category strategies to retailer strategies.
    • Build and nurture strategic relationships, aiming for #1 partner status.
    • Foster relationships with senior stakeholders, especially Tesco & Sainsbury’s.
  • Team Management:
    • Be the go-to category expert and upskill the team.
    • Coordinate with learning teams for training programs.

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    • Extensive category management experience.
    • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role with a clear vision.
    • Strong understanding of market, e-commerce, and consumer beauty strategies.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Solution-oriented with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
    • Experience managing change and influencing stakeholders.
    • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of data-driven decision making.
    • Strong planning and organizational skills with flexibility to adapt.
