Come and join us as a Head of Category for Bathrooms and help effect real change and transformation within our Commercial function. Join a hugely successful and friendly team.

The Role:

As the Head of Category for Bathrooms, you will be responsible for leading all commercial activities related to your categories. Working with key stakeholders from the Commercial Function and wider business, you will develop and execute strategies to enhance the Bathrooms product offering across various sectors, including the Showroom Proposition. You will drive innovation and ensure compliance with regulations and standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of bathroom products and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive bathroom initiatives across the organisation. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in bathrooms, assessing their potential impact.
  • Lead a team to execute Bathroom projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support energy efficiency projects.
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders to ensure propositions grow effectively, maximising product offering and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Bathroom considerations into product development, operations, and procurement processes.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure sustainable and profitable partnerships, working with finance and supporting teams to optimise terms.
  • Monitor and analyse KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of Bathroom category programs.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments, ensuring compliance and establishing partnerships with industry stakeholders and authorities.

This role is primarily hybrid, requiring weekly visits to our office, branches, and suppliers. You should be based in the UK, near our Head Office in Crick, Northamptonshire.

Skills and competencies
  • Proven experience in Bathroom industries or related fields, with success in driving bathroom initiatives.
  • Experience in Senior Category Management or Head of Category roles, with a track record of driving sales, profit, margin, and product availability.
  • Highly numerate, capable of using research and insights to understand customers and the market.
  • Experience in developing and motivating teams to achieve business growth.
  • Ability to build effective relationships through influencing, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Driven, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous improvement to maximise commercial success.
