Role: Head Of Care for Young People aged 16-25 with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs

Salary: Circa £50,000

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Weeks per year: 52

Location: Harrogate

Purpose of the Post

Lead the 24-hour service supporting young people with disabilities and complex needs.

Person Specification

  • Recent experience managing medium to large residential care facilities
  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities
  • Knowledge of CQC compliance and inspection processes
  • Financial and budget management skills
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Policy development and implementation skills
  • Formal safeguarding qualifications or willingness to obtain
  • NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in Health and Social Care

Responsibilities

  • Line management of House Managers and supporting HR processes
  • Resource management within budget constraints
  • Staffing and rota management
  • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies
  • Contribute to the Senior Leadership Team to realize organizational strategy

Line Management Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership ensuring high standards of service and staff conduct
  • Address performance issues with support from HR
