Role Overview
The role involves leading Parameta Solutions' global product development initiatives, focusing on data opportunities from TP ICAP's Global Broking activities. The position requires managing a team of regional subject matter experts, setting objectives, and developing strategies for current and future data products. The candidate will serve as the subject matter expert on a range of OTC derivatives, fixed income, credit, and equity derivative data products, both internally and externally. Responsibilities include overseeing the procurement of data from broking desks, ensuring its proper channeling through Parameta Solutions, and maintaining a five-year strategic plan with market analysis and P&L projections.
Additionally, the role involves guiding products from ideation to market launch, ensuring P&L delivery, and coordinating with various teams including Technology, Sales, Client Services, and Analytics for successful project implementation. The candidate will engage with industry bodies, manage multiple projects, and perform data inventory assessments to identify monetisation opportunities. Maintaining strong relationships with senior Global Broking managers and working closely with other product managers and marketing teams is crucial. The role also includes providing SME support during sales processes and representing the company at industry events. As a senior staff member, the candidate is expected to lead and mentor junior colleagues, driving process improvements and strategic initiatives with potential third-party data sources.
Role Responsibilities
Lead global product development initiatives for new data opportunities from Global Broking activities.
Manage a team of regional SMEs, setting objectives and strategies for current and future data products.
Act as the subject matter expert for OTC derivatives, FX derivatives, fixed income, credit, and equity derivative data products.
Oversee the procurement and publication of data from all new broking desks via Parameta Solutions.
Develop and maintain a five-year strategic plan, including market analysis and P&L projections for Global Broking data products.
Guide products through ideation, development, and go-to-market launch phases.
Ensure P&L delivery and report on product performance to senior management and key stakeholders.
Coordinate with various teams to implement complex projects and ensure successful execution.
Engage with industry bodies and clients to research and enhance content and data offerings.
Drive new business initiatives through research, documentation, and communication of new data methodologies.
Conduct periodic data inventory assessments and identify new monetisation opportunities.
Collaborate with other product managers to develop revenue-generating products from Global Broking data.
Maintain strong relationships with senior Global Broking managers and other key stakeholders.
Oversee marketing activities, including newsletters and conference representation, and support sales campaigns.
Lead process and operational improvements and provide guidance to junior colleagues on issue escalation.
Experience / Competences
Experience in a real-time market data environment (either buy-side or sell-side)
Proven product management experience in financial services, including bringing revenue-generating products to market
Understanding of the use of OTC data within financial markets, including the instruments required for various businesses
Degree qualified or equivalent work experience
Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and negotiation skills
Highly effective decision-making skills
Ability to work to demanding targets and deadlines while maintaining strong organisation and focus
Ability to review large, complex trends of financial and customer data to improve P&L and customer service
Ability to translate ideas from concept into strategy and specific actions
Creative and commercially savvy, with the ability to anticipate and interpret upcoming industry trends
Demonstrated leadership skills, including listening, empathy, decisiveness, and stakeholder management.
Comfortable representing TP ICAP at events and seminars.
Ability to sponsor change/continuous improvement and promote excellent customer service.
