As head of Capital and part of the Estates Directorate Senior team, the Head of Capital will provide strong and inspirational leadership to promote the provision of excellent Estates Services and in particular services provided by the Capital Team in complex, acute and Community settings in one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the country
The post holder will be accountable to the Estates Director and will deliver the interpretation of National directives, broad Department of Health and Social Care Policies, legal requirements such as the Building Safety Act, and Trust priorities within the Capital Management function.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the development of the Trust's Capital Programme where this impacts directly or indirectly on the built environment and the broader estate.
The post holder will be accountable for delivering the Estates Capital Programme portfolio across all of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, including Community premises. This includes major capital schemes, maintenance backlog schemes and compliance schemes.
The post holder will be responsible for leading the delivery of all Estates related schemes within Trust's Capital programme and for ensuring that these are delivered to agreed budgets, time and quality, comply with legal requirements such as the Building Safety Act and are appropriately managed to recognised methodologies, patient focused, safe, efficient and effective.
