A renowned FM provider in Norfolk is seeking a Head of Capital and Lifecycle Projects to lead and manage Hard FM and Construction projects on a large-scale PFI contract. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical knowledge in construction, and experience with PFI contracts. A salary range of £55,000-£65,000pa plus benefits is offered for this position.

Qualifications

The Role: Head of Capital Projects

Location: Norfolk

Salary: £55,000- £65,000pa + benefits

I am delighted to be working with a renowned FM provider to find an experienced and driven Head of Capital and Lifecycle Projects. The role will sit within a large-scale PFI contract with the NHS.

The key purpose of this role is to lead, manage, and be accountable for Projects across Hard FM and Construction, including strategic development, improvement, and growth of Hard FM Project delivery. The post holder is responsible for the safe and compliant delivery of Capital and Lifecycle projects, considering the financial plan and contract strategy.

This role will be part of the contract Senior Management Team and may deputise for the Contract Director on all Project and Estates matters within the contract.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge across Hard FM, Construction, and CDM, and will build effective relationships with stakeholders from the NHS, SPV, colleagues, and contractors. Exposure to PFI contracts, strong budgetary controls, compliance, regulatory standards, and team motivation skills are essential.

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Professional membership of a recognized institution (e.g., ILM, IHEEM, IET, RICS, CIBSE) with registration or working towards registration with the Engineering Council.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of complex Building Services systems.
  • Knowledge of HTMs, HBNs, and other relevant Codes of Practice.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills to influence and support a large, diverse team.
  • Experience working in complex Hard FM environments, preferably in healthcare with PFI contracts.
  • Knowledge of legal and commercial processes related to project delivery, including Supplemental Agreements, Letters of Indemnity, JCT D&B Contracts, and Design Consultancy Agreements.
  • Experience leading a team of more than 10 colleagues.
  • Managing a budget exceeding £5m revenue annually.
