Job Description:

The Role: Head of Capital Projects
Location: Norfolk
Salary: £55,000- £65,000pa + benefits

I am working with a renowned FM provider to find an experienced Head of Capital and Lifecycle Projects. The role is within a large-scale PFI contract with the NHS.

The main responsibility is to lead and manage Projects in Hard FM and Construction, focusing on strategic development, improvement, and growth of project delivery. The role ensures the safe and compliant delivery of Capital and Lifecycle projects, aligning with financial plans and contract strategies.

This position is part of the contract's Senior Management Team and may deputise for the Contract Director regarding Project and Estates matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in Hard FM, Construction, and CDM, with excellent stakeholder relationship skills. Exposure to PFI contracts, budget control, compliance, and team motivation are essential.

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Membership of a recognised institution (e.g., ILM, IHEEM, IET, RICS, CIBSE) and registration with a professional body such as Engineering Council.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and complex Building Services systems.
  • Understanding of HTMs, HBNs, and other relevant Codes of Practice.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, supporting a large diverse team.
  • Experience in complex Hard FM environments, preferably in healthcare with PFI experience.
  • Knowledge of project delivery legal and commercial processes, including contracts and agreements.
  • Leadership experience managing a team of over 10 colleagues.
  • Managing a budget exceeding £5m annually.
