Lead the Business Studies & Economics department with a clear vision for outstanding teaching, learning, and achievement.
Develop and implement a forward-thinking curriculum across KS4 and KS5 that reflects current industry and economic trends.
Monitor student progress and use data-driven strategies to raise achievement.
Coach, support, and manage departmental staff, promoting continual professional development.
Foster critical thinking, entrepreneurial skills, and economic literacy among students.
Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and enthusiasm in the classroom.
Build links with external organisations and businesses to enrich learning experiences.
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
Proven success in teaching Business and/or Economics at GCSE and A-Level.
Previous leadership or middle management experience (e.g., 2iC, Subject Lead, or HoD).
Strong curriculum knowledge and understanding of current educational trends in Business and Economics.
Exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
A genuine passion for preparing students for the ever-evolving business world.
An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
