EQUANS Digital & Energy Solutions is a leader in providing innovative engineering solutions to businesses across the UK.
This role is responsible for building relationships with key holders, oversight of our new business and ultimately securing the sustainable growth of EQUANS O&M business and strengthening our position as a leader in the Smart City market.
As a part of the Services SLT you will be responsible for winning new customers and driving development of selected key accounts. Brining our strategy to life and shaping opportunities you will create winning strategies and market leading products that bring Net Zero and Resilience to our customers.
Key activities
The role is responsible for leading the Sales & Marketing team, winning new customers and growing key account relationships. The role is accountable for the successful delivery of sales and Account plans and targets set in line with the agreed business strategy.
- Management of the work winning and account management function
- Creating, managing, and delivering an active business development plan for key markets and customers
- Ensuring Account Development plans are in place for key customers
- Financial targets – ensure that individual revenue and margin targets are achieved
- Compliance with governance and delegated levels of authority
- Reporting of performance – ensure progress and results are reported through weekly and monthly reporting
- Continual improvement – ensure learning is applied to drive best practice in the team
- Account management – ensure contracts and measures are agreed, understood across the O&M business and delivered, in line with KPIs and SLAs.
- Operational management – work with the Operations team to ensure customers’ operational requirements are understood, achievable and built into any agreement in an appropriate and deliverable manner
- Build effective relationships within each customer. Ensure that the appropriate account links are made across the organisation with active customer account maps
- Trusted advisor and innovation – act as the “expert” for customers, keeping them informed of relevant industry updates and providing new solutions and ideas to support their needs
- Customer engagement – ensure that new customers are engaged, and their satisfaction is measured and improved through gathering feedback and involving in customer satisfaction and NPS surveys
- Leading external market presentations and client presentations
Who are we looking for?
- Degree or equivalent in business or related discipline preferred
- Account & sales team leadership
- Customer focus and management
- Business and commercial focus – including contract negotiation and management
- Strong communication skills
- Influence and negotiation
- Strong project management skills
- Lead high performing account & sales teams
- Manage and develop B2B relationships within a result focussed environment
- Working in a customer service focused energy or technology industry
- Manage resources and teams within a technology-led environment
- Growing the value in customer relationships
- Stakeholder management across multiple functions including IT, operations, finance and external suppliers
- Experience of managing projects and activity through project gateways and governance
- Proven sales track record
