A major UK law firm with international clients is seeking a Head of Business Development to join the rapidly evolving Dispute Resolution team. The successful candidate will work closely with Division and Practice Group Heads to develop strategies and activities that support the department’s and firm’s business plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic, creative, and well-executed ideas and campaigns.
  • Develop strong relationships with Partners and practice groups, based on knowledge of the Firm and its practices.
  • Collaborate with PSLs to understand key issues and trends, identifying and exploiting practice-specific opportunities.
  • Identify existing and prospective clients for growth and develop tailored plans.
  • Enhance the business development and marketing capabilities of lawyers and increase awareness of the team’s support services.
  • Coach Partners to focus on the right opportunities and support their strategic implementation.
  • Lead the development of the Firm’s internal and external profile.
  • Assist in developing marketing and business development plans for cross-firm initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Legal or Professional Services environment.
  • A proven track record in senior business development roles, with Head of experience preferred.
  • A strategic, creative thinker with the ability to persuade highly intelligent professionals and understand business dynamics.
