Job description

Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Business Continuity to lead our global Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. This role focuses on establishing standards, governance frameworks, and leading initiatives to ensure operational resilience worldwide. The successful candidate will develop policies, processes, procedures, and training materials, while supporting various organizational levels as a subject matter expert and championing continuous improvement.

This position offers remote work options and the possibility to work at our Birmingham office.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish global standards and governance frameworks for Business Continuity Management.
2. Develop and implement policies, processes, and procedures aligned with international standards and industry best practices.
3. Create training materials and programs for all organizational levels.
4. Collaborate with various organizational units to develop and maintain BCM programs tailored to their needs.
5. Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance across the organization.
6. Support audit programs and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and industry developments.
7. Work with stakeholders to integrate BCM into their processes and strategies.
8. Coordinate with Crisis Management teams to ensure effective crisis response and develop technology solutions to support BCM.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in developing and leading global business continuity programs, preferably in energy and engineering sectors.
2. Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) are a plus.
3. Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
5. Experience in developing and delivering training programs related to business continuity.
