Job Title: Head of Business & Client Development, London

Leading solicitor firm is recruiting for a Head of Business & Client Development to join their London office on a maternity cover basis. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations and leadership of the Business Development (BD) team, including preparing and submitting formal tenders and providing market analysis to guide future BD strategies.

The Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage annual Business & Client Development plans aligned with budgets, ensuring prioritization of opportunities.
  2. Lead and support the BD team, ensuring effective review, reporting, and delivery of initiatives, fostering a collaborative culture.
  3. Use data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities such as cross-selling and client sharing, and establish programs for client feedback and insights.
  4. Manage memberships, partnerships, and sponsorships to enhance the firm's visibility in key sectors.
  5. Oversee tender processes, legal directory submissions, and follow-up activities to ensure value and results.
  6. Collaborate with the Marketing team to align campaigns, improve reporting, and enhance brand reputation.
The Candidate:
  • Experienced senior business development professional with a proven track record, preferably within legal or professional services.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong project management skills, highly organized, with proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, InDesign, and CRM systems.

Note: Only candidates with relevant experience in Law Firms, Accountancy Firms, Management Consultancies, Property/Construction Firms, Financial Services Firms, or related associations will be considered. Applications outside these sectors will not be accepted.
