Are you an experienced academic leader with a passion for business education and curriculum innovation?

KC Group Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a progressive higher education institution to recruit a dynamic and visionary Head of Business based in London.

�� About the Role

As Head of Business, you will play a key leadership role in the development, delivery, and quality assurance of Business Management programmes across Foundation to undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This is a unique opportunity to drive educational innovation, lead a dedicated academic team, and enhance student engagement and success.
You’ll be responsible for course management, academic strategy, staff development, and building strong industry links to ensure that students graduate with relevant, real-world knowledge and skills.

�� Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Business academic portfolio across all campuses, including curriculum design, teaching strategy, and assessment.
• Deliver an outstanding student experience with a focus on retention, progression, and employability.
• Ensure academic quality and compliance, including course monitoring, curriculum reviews, and alignment with OfS B3 metrics.
• Foster external partnerships with businesses and professional organisations to enrich the student learning journey.
• Support student recruitment and contribute to strategic planning, staff development, and cross-campus collaboration.
• Engage in research and/or professional practice in business, enterprise, or a related field.

�� Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of a Level 7 qualification and a BA in a Business-related subject (or equivalent professional experience).
• Extensive experience teaching and managing Business-related programmes in Higher Education.
• Demonstrated ability to lead academic teams and drive curriculum innovation.
• Proven track record of improving student outcomes and programme performance.
• Strong professional networks and links with industry to support employability and enterprise.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

�� Desirable

• PhD or equivalent research degree.
• Fellowship (or higher) of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PG Cert), or willingness to complete one.
• Experience in entrepreneurship education or applied business learning environments.
