Head of Built Environment Futures Assembly

Part-time (21 hrs/wk), permanent

Remote place of work

Salary range: £50,000 to £58,000 FTE per annum plus benefits

Built Environment Futures Assembly (BEFA) is a newly established initiative aimed at positively impacting the built environment. This is a new role, offering a great opportunity to lead the development and implementation of BEFA.

As the Head of BEFA, you will facilitate strategic engagement with stakeholders, drive collaboration to address industry challenges, and inform policy and best practices through evidence-based outputs. You will support BEFA in tackling sectoral challenges via engagement, education, and collaboration.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic forward-thinker eager to contribute to UCEM's development and its impact on the built environment sector.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development, delivery, and implementation of BEFA, ensuring stakeholder alignment and high standards
  • Building and maintaining networks across key decision-making forums, including the BEFA Strategic Advisory Board and thematic workstreams
  • Organizing and facilitating workshops, roundtables, and stakeholder meetings (both in-person and virtual)
  • Providing expertise and advice related to BEFA across UCEM and participating in cross-organizational initiatives

Main requirements:

  • Experience in developing and maintaining networks, engaging high-level external stakeholders, and managing productive relationships
  • Experience in the built environment, higher education, or related sectors
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing, complex, and dispersed organization
