The Role

We are growing rapidly across the UK, US, and Europe and are looking for a creative and strategic Head of Brand to elevate our story, strengthen our identity, and lead standout brand campaigns across regions. As Head of Brand, you will take the lead on all brand marketing activity in the UK and play a key supporting role in launching and growing Ancient + Brave in the US and European markets.

You\’ll translate brand positioning into compelling, strategic marketing plans—bringing new products to life, driving awareness, and strengthening loyalty through content, campaigns, and creative storytelling. You\’ll also lead our brand and product marketing calendar and oversee execution across paid media, organic social, content, and email. This is a unique opportunity to shape a bold, purpose-driven brand at an exciting stage of international growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • UK Brand Lead: Own the UK marketing strategy and execution across campaigns, product launches, brand activations, and content – building equity, driving awareness, and deepening customer connection.
  • Global Brand Support: Partner with the Head of Marketing in the US and European teams to support international brand growth and ensure global brand consistency.
  • Campaign Leadership: Lead the annual, quarterly and monthly marketing calendar – aligning cross-functional teams on timings, deliverables, and execution for all product and brand moments. Incorporate results from recent activity to inform forward planning. Allow time for long-term and medium-term planning to accommodate reactive activity.
  • Oversee brand-led paid media planning and execution to reach new audiences and build awareness, credibility and consideration, improving performance media effectiveness.
  • Content Oversight: Oversee multi-channel content development, ensuring storytelling is strong, aligned to positioning, and relevant to the target audience. Develop content creation and sourcing capabilities, exploring tools (e.g., AI) to continually develop creative output while scaling effectively and maintaining quality.
  • Community: Shape, grow and nurture a thriving brand community that bridges emotional engagement and customer loyalty with a clear strategic vision for social audiences and product subscribers.
  • Performance Collaboration: Work with digital, influencer and paid social teams to align brand goals with performance marketing strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a growing team of marketing, social media, and community specialists, copywriters, freelancers, and agency partners.
  • Ensure all output is high-quality, culturally relevant, and aligned with the Ancient + Brave brand.
  • Foster a collaborative, feedback-driven environment that champions innovation, excellence, and shared ownership of brand storytelling.
  • Brand Guardian: Ensure consistent tone, messaging, visual identity and values across all touchpoints, internally and externally.
Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Proven track record in growing and scaling brands in international markets within wellness, lifestyle, or beauty.
  • Experience developing and executing successful brand campaigns and product launches.
  • Deep understanding of content creation, social media (paid and organic), email, and digital marketing fundamentals.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills — confident leading calendars, workflows, and teams.
  • A creative thinker with a sharp eye for storytelling, aesthetics, and emerging trends.

Our Interview Process and What You Can Expect
  • Application Review: We\'ll review your CV/application to ensure a good fit for the role.
  • Initial Phone Call (circa 15-20 minutes): Brief chat with our Talent Partner to discuss experience and alignment with values.
  • Video Interview (circa 30 minutes): Virtual interview with the hiring manager via Google Meet to discuss experience and competencies.
  • Interview Task: Task sent by email to prepare at home for discussion in the interview.
  • In-Person Interview (60-90 minutes): Lewes office – present your task and answer questions; opportunity to ask questions.

  • This role requires full-time work at our Lewes offices. Please apply if you are within a reasonable commute to East Sussex. There is potential to work from home one day per week after probation.
