Job summary

Stanborough Secondary School invites applications for Head of Boarding, a part-time, residential leadership role in Watford. You will shape a nurturing boarding community, ensure safeguarding, wellbeing and high standards of care for all boarders, and work with staff, parents and external agencies to deliver an outstanding experience.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working in a boarding school or residential setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to create an inclusive, supportive boarding culture.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the boarding provision.
• Oversee safeguarding, welfare and personal development of boarders.
• Lead boarding staff and manage day-to-day operations.
• Ensure compliance with National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools.
• Develop partnerships with parents and guardians.
• Lead inspections readiness and policy development.
