Head of Boarding (Maternity Cover) - East Grinstead

Our client is a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 2½ - 13 in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Their Boarding and Matronal Department is at the very heart of their thriving and flourishing school and is central to building a unique sense of community.

They have a rare and exciting opportunity to join them for one year as their Head of Boarding (Maternity Cover). This is a standalone role with no teaching commitments, with the Head of Boarding responsible for overseeing the efficient management of the boarding provision for up to 100 boarders and for creating an atmosphere of care, support, fun, and consistency. Boarding should provide a home-from-home experience but also be an environment that prepares their pupils for life outside and beyond their time at school.

This role is rewarding and high-profile, with parents viewing the Head of Boarding as central to their child's happiness and success. A one year fixed-term Contract of Employment detailing terms and conditions will be issued on appointment. The salary will determined by the experience of the successful applicant and agreed hours of work. The full-time equivalent salary will be in the region of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum. Accommodation will also be provided.
