What you’ll do:

• Lead and manage bids and tender submissions for the Transport business, reporting to the Business Development Director.
• Manage a Bid Team based in Warwick and London, planning resources for bids.
• Ensure effective utilization of resources to maximize business opportunities.
• Oversee the end-to-end management and production of high-quality, successful bids in accordance with telent’s procedures.
• Improve bid quality through best practice approaches.
• Monitor bid costs and seek continual improvement in bid return on investment.
• Develop relationships with customers through meetings and presentations.
• Manage Bid team performance, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Lead bid strategies, produce bid materials from Go/No Go to submission, and support post-bid activities.
• Plan workload, forecast bids, track costs, and report on win/loss metrics.
• Conduct bid reviews and maintain the Bid library.

Who you are:

Key requirements:

• Extensive experience managing and leading a high-performing Bid Team.
• Proven success in leading winning bids in sectors like Traffic, Rail, Defence, etc.
• Strong project management, organizational, and financial skills.
• Broad understanding of relevant technologies and markets.
• APMP or equivalent qualification with demonstrated bid success.
• Excellent bid writing, financial, and presentation skills.
• Leadership ability to build and guide a successful bid team.
• Experience in delivering high-value bids in services or solutions environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive, ownership mindset.
