Job summary

Pay.UK is seeking a Head of Audit Portfolio in London to shape a clear, well-managed audit portfolio within a high-trust, central UK payments organisation. You will lead planning, governance and delivery across multiple audits in a regulated environment, collaborating with Executive Committee members and senior leaders to ensure robust risk management and timely action closure.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an internal audit portfolio within a regulated environment.
• Strong planning, risk assessment and follow-up tracking capabilities.
• Proven ability to present portfolio status to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships with Executive Committee members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and management of the audit portfolio, prioritising and delivering audits.
• Review audit plans and reports to ensure evidence-based work.
• Engage senior stakeholders to track progress and respond to audit actions.
• Monitor portfolio risks and delivery issues, implementing practical mitigations.
• Prepare updates on portfolio status for leadership and governance forums.
