Are you a strategic leader with experience in developing, implementing, and leading a risk-based corporate assurance strategy?
Our client, the UK’s largest Energy Authority, the UK Atomic Energy Authority, is seeking a job share Head of Assurance to provide technical knowledge, expertise, and advice to the CEO, UKAEA Board, and executive committee on assurance matters.
Working with the current Senior Head of Assurance partner, you will be responsible for leading the Assurance Strategy, operating model, and plan that enables continual improvement and the development of a proactive culture across UKAEA.
You will be expected to provide visible leadership and governance to the organisation in assurance matters, embedding risk management as an integral part of business planning. Providing strategic advice on security and business continuity arrangements will also form part of the role, ensuring the provision of training/awareness to all levels of the business. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to integrate good governance practice and must be confident in developing a proactive culture throughout the organisation.
The UKAEA hosts and manages the JET nuclear fusion energy experiment and is also home to the UK’s MAST-U fusion energy experiment. UKAEA also works with industry and other third parties to develop new technologies in Remote Handling and Materials research.
