Job summary

Glasgow West Housing Association is seeking a Head of Asset Management and Compliance in Glasgow. You will lead the Technical Team to deliver multi-tenure works programmes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive asset management strategy.

The role involves procuring projects, risk management, and reporting to governance bodies, with a focus on safe, high-quality homes and effective stakeholder collaboration.

• Coordinate cross-service consultants, draft service agreements and support performance management.
• Lead risk, performance and compliance reporting and governance submissions.
• Oversee Health & Safety and Compliance including routine inspections and safety systems.
• Act as Responsible Person for Asbestos and Legionella alignment with management systems.

Head of Asset Management and Compliance* Glasgow West Housing Association* Full time* £58,052 – £61,206* On site: Glasgow* Closing 30th September 2026* Advertised from 10th September 2026* 35 hrs per week#### RoleWe are looking forward to interviewing for the position of **Head of Asset Management andCompliance**.This is a key role for an experienced professional with a background in property, technical services and/or assetmanagement, who can combine strong technical knowledge with effective leadership, sound judgement and acommitment to delivering safe, high-quality homes and services for our mixed tenure communities.You will lead and develop the Technical Team, ensuring that our property services meet the required technical,regulatory, compliance and customer standards. You will procure and drive forward significant multi-tenure worksprogrammes on time and within budget, including external fabric and common repairs, component replacement, andcyclical maintenance.You will play an important role in identifying property risks, driving service improvement, and supportingevidence-based investment and asset management decisions. You will bring with you strategic and technicalleadership, demonstrate excellent customer care skills, and be an effective team player who workscollaboratively across teams and builds strong relationships with stakeholders.Please refer to the Person Specification for a full list of the knowledge, skills and experience required for therole.Key tasks include:1. Leading the Technical Team through a range of planned and ad-hoc works across common, cyclical and component replacement projects; to optimise compliance with regulatory standards and to meet GWHA business objectives.2. Developing and implementing effective Asset Management strategies / initiatives / KPI’s / policies / procedures / mitigating risk and demonstrating compliance with governance, legislative and regulatory requirements.3. Leading the preparation of procurement business cases in compliance with procurement strategy, ensuring timely preparation of work specifications and tenders / evaluations, to meet project planning and governance objectives.4. Leading the cross-service appointment of relevant consultants and contractors, development of service agreements / contract documentation and supporting ongoing performance management.5. Leading risk assessment, performance and compliance reporting and preparation of MC / governance reports.6. Leading organisational Health & Safety and Compliance (including routine PPM): Common Inspections (SCS), Roof and Gutter cleaning, AGS, Fall Arrest Systems, Lift Maintenance, Water, Electrical, Fire, and Office Safety.7.
