Lead arts and music for Glasgow Life, delivering inclusive, strategic cultural programmes as part of Glasgow's Culture Strategy 2024-2030.

£79,347.68 - £91,983.64 | Location: Albion St, G1 1LH | Ref: GLA13580

Glasgow Life is recruiting a Head of Arts and Music on a full-time, permanent contract. This senior leadership role involves driving the strategic and operational delivery of arts and music across the city. As the lead officer for Glasgow's Culture Strategy 2024-2030, you'll help shape programmes that are inclusive, innovative, and impactful. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and contribute to organisation-wide planning and transformation, ensuring that culture continues to enhance the wellbeing and vibrancy of Glasgow's communities and economy.

Glasgow Life's Arts & Music teams deliver meaningful, high-quality cultural experiences, from major festivals and venue programming to community-led initiatives. We promote inclusion, support wellbeing, and strengthen the visitor economy.

About you
  • Degree-level education or equivalent senior experience in cultural policy, arts management, or creative leadership
  • Proven strategic leadership and experience managing large teams in arts, culture, or music
  • Strong financial skills and understanding of public/third sector funding
  • Experience creating inclusive cultural programmes with and for diverse communities
