Job description

We’re looking for a visionary and hands-on leader in Art Direction to oversee the creative output of On’s most essential visual brand touchpoints, including brand assets such as e-commerce, product storytelling, seasonal lookbooks, and cross-category campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for emotional impact and commercial performance, guiding a team of talented art directors to shape how the world perceives On at every touchpoint.

With a balance of strategic foresight and hands-on creative leadership, you will lead a team of Art Directors and Visual Creators to build emotionally resonant and commercially impactful brand assets. You understand the connection between performance and lifestyle and know how to express this across film, photography, motion, and emerging formats.

This is a high-impact, leadership role at the intersection of creative excellence, business goals, and global brand expression, reporting to the Head of Group Visual Direction.

Your Mission
  • Lead the creative vision and execution of On’s core brand assets, including product photography, ecommerce content, digital campaigns, and seasonal storytelling.
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing team of art directors and videographers, setting clear directions and providing mentorship.
  • Establish seasonal art directions for brand assets across photography, film, CGI, and emerging formats.
  • Set the tone and elevate On’s visual presence, from product detail pages to lookbooks and global storytelling.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with digital, product, and marketing teams to ensure aligned and innovative creative strategies.
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring quality, timeliness, and consistency.
  • Partner with external creative collaborators aligned with On’s evolving visual aesthetic.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation and future-facing thinking within the creative team.
Your Profile
  • 8+ years in art direction within a global brand or top-tier agency; 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • A diverse portfolio in sport, lifestyle, fashion, and culture, with a strong storytelling and craft focus.
  • Experience leading shoots from casting to final output.
  • Deep knowledge of digital storytelling, ecommerce, and omnichannel creative ecosystems.
  • Proficiency across motion, film, CGI, and new media formats, guiding teams through each.
  • Experience building and managing creative teams, including hiring, feedback, and performance development.
  • Strong resource planning, workflow management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, balancing creative vision with business needs.
  • Comfortable leading in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
