Full Time/ Permanent

Based at St.Albans campus with travel between various locations

Oaklands College is seeking an inspirational leader to manage and develop its apprenticeship and work-based training department. The successful candidate will motivate teams, develop innovative programs, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance. The role involves stakeholder engagement across Hertfordshire and working as part of the College Management Team.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and inspiring your team to achieve results.
• Driving employer engagement strategies effectively.
• Developing and implementing apprenticeship and work-based training programs.
• Ensuring program quality and compliance.
• Managing stakeholder relationships to expand training delivery.
• Utilising apprenticeship monitoring software for reporting.
• Staying updated on apprenticeship trends and policies.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of management experience.
• Proven success in apprenticeship program delivery and management.
• Deep knowledge of the English further education and skills systems.
• Recognised assessor qualification (A1/A2, D32/33, or TAQA).
• Level 2 qualifications in Maths, English, and ICT.
• Experience as an Ofsted Inspector (preferred).
