Job description

Migrant Help are currently looking for a Head of Analytics to join our team. This is a homebased role (with occasional travel to main office sites) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum.

The Head of Analytics role:

Part of the Technology and Transformation Directorate, the Head of Analytics is a new and innovative role at Migrant Help.

You will lead our newly-branded ‘Analytics’ team (formerly ‘Data’). The HoA will provide tasking and line management of the Analytics team, and mitigate the risk of single points of failure, particularly in the configuration of Analytics to support ‘storytelling’ activities, contract performance reporting and management information development and dissemination. You will sponsor all Analytics initiatives in the Technology and Transformation Strategy and play a key role in analytics upskilling and capability development. You will also work to establish ‘single-source-of-truth’ systems governing how we create, manage and utilise datasets across complex systems with the support from across the Analytics team and wider business.

Key responsibilities of our Head of Analytics:

  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of data specialists, providing direction, development and support in their day-to-day activities.
  • Strategy Implementation: Implement and evolve the 2-year Analytics strategy (Apr 2025) to support the organization's business objectives.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Oversee and rationalize processes for the collection and analysis of data from various sources, including internal systems, third-party tools, to develop evidence, identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reporting outputs that track and measure performance against these metrics.
  • Insights & Recommendations: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis, helping them make informed decisions and drive business performance.
  • Data Governance: Drive data governance initiatives by establishing data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing data security measures.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports, and visualizations, seeking to build capacity across the organisation.
  • Curiosity and innovation: Takes a proactive approach that challenges the status quo and makes evidence-based suggestions for improvement, with the skills to influence change based on knowledge of industry trends and advancements in analytics tools and technologies
  • Partnership: Establish effective partnerships across the organisation and networks with appropriate contract authorities, partners and suppliers to improve Analytics services,
  • Capacity Building: Focuses on improving data fluency and analytical skills in formal and informal learning environments, promoting best practices and improving analytics competencies across the organisation, including developing engaging knowledge transfer including to colleagues without analytics expertise.

Skills and experience we are looking for in our Head of Analytics:

  • Proven experience in a senior analytics role, with experience leading successful analytics projects and teams.
  • Proven ability to engage diverse audiences to transfer knowledge and build skills. Experience developing transparent metrics to measure and influence change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data findings to non-technical stakeholders, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
