Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of global AI projects across Bupa’s Market and Business Units, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess their fit for enterprise adoption
  • Support reuse of AI assets and architectures across geographies and operating models
  • Horizon-scan for new opportunities in frontier AI and communicate insights to senior leadership
  • Oversee programme-level delivery, including governance, planning and reporting
  • Facilitate collaboration between global and local teams to share knowledge and build capability
  • Represent Bupa’s Health Data & AI team at external events and conferences
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, influencing both technical and non-technical audiences
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about the potential of AI in healthcare and has the experience to make it happen.

Qualifications and experience
  • Graduate degree (e.g. BA, BSc, MEng) or higher (e.g. PhD)
  • Proven leadership in data science, engineering or AI roles
  • Experience working in multinational environments or consulting, with a track record of delivering results through collaboration
Skills and attributes
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies like machine learning, NLP, and computer vision
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to guide technical teams and foster innovation
  • Excellent communicator who can tailor messages for different audiences
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to align AI initiatives to business goals
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed, international environment
  • Organised, resilient, and curious with a drive to make an impact
