Job description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Data Science / Head of AI to lead the data initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing our data strategy, ensuring the effective use of data science and AI to enhance patient outcomes and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and proven leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive data science and AI strategy aligned with company mission and objectives.
  2. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical, engineering, product, and marketing, to integrate data-driven insights into decision-making processes.
  4. Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI to drive continuous innovation within the company.
  5. Project Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end execution of data science projects, from ideation to deployment, ensuring they meet quality standards and deliver actionable insights.
  6. Ethical Data Use: Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, privacy, and ethical use of AI in healthcare applications.

Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science or AI roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  3. Proven track record of successfully leading data science teams and projects.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute methodically in a fast-paced environment.
